Greenland! I'm drawn to its cold and extreme isolation, and I'm captivated by the culture and the way people there adapt to their natural environment.

I am genuinely passionate about working with images. For me, in the context of computer systems, images provide a tangible and visual insight into the workings of complex systems like neural networks. I am generally fascinated by machine learning and, broadly speaking, AI. I view AI as one of humanity's most significant achievements, and being involved in its progress brings me a sense of fulfillment.

Through my PhD, I've come to recognize the immense potential and the intricacies of visual processing, allowing machines to interpret the visual world similarly to humans. My own research has shown me just how powerful machines can be in certain tasks, often surpassing human capabilities. Importantly, my studies have opened my eyes to the risks posed by social media and, more specifically, the AI algorithms employed there. Overall, my PhD has given me a new lens through which to view the world. I see the overwhelming potential, but I also perceive the profound risks they present to our society and humanity as a whole.

Flexibility is essential! Creativity and efficiency don't confine themselves to a 9-5 schedule. I work mornings, evenings, nights—whenever inspiration strikes and productivity calls.

I've always enjoyed traveling. When work calls for it, I'm more than ready to pack my bags and head out, seeing it as both a duty and an opportunity to broaden my experiences.

Office hours are crucial for strengthening social connections and settling into work. They play a vital role in team cohesion and should primarily focus on interaction.

Remote work on the other hand, amplifies my creativity and productivity. With the array of technological tools available it also enhances team collaboration and efficiency.
