Sideproject: Interior Design

Carpentry

My passion for crafting individual furniture pieces is deeply rooted in a profound appreciation for interior design. I have always been inclined towards minimalistic designs, valuing the beauty of simplicity and the elegance that such pieces bring to any space. While some might find solace in buying off-the-shelf furniture, I find the greatest joy in the intricate details, the curves, and the finishes that come with designing and handcrafting pieces from scratch.
Having a knack for working with my hands, woodworking has always been a favorite avenue to channel my creativity. Over time, I've diversified the materials I work with, constantly experimenting and pushing the boundaries of what's possible. Whether it's the warm touch of wood or the cold feel of metal, each material presents a unique challenge and offers a different aesthetic to the finished product.

Pinterest has been an indispensable tool in my creative journey. The platform provides a treasure trove of ideas and inspirations, and it was there that I found the blueprint for my self-built kitchen. Drawing inspiration from designs worldwide, I love the process of transforming ideas in my head into tangible pieces of art. The journey from envisioning a design, whether on CAD software or paper sketches, to sourcing the right materials and finally piecing them together, is immensely rewarding.
To me, building furniture and interior pieces isn't just a hobby – it's a passion. There's an unparalleled satisfaction in seeing an idea come to life, knowing every screw, every joint, and every finish has been meticulously planned and executed by my own hands. It's not merely about furnishing a space, but about pouring one's soul into creating something unique, durable, and beautiful.
